With over 20 years experience as a management consultant, I have worked around the world with many different business models in many different situations - ranging from day-rate consulting to success-fee, value-based deals. Over time, I have worked out that, (surprise-surprise!) some things work much, much better than others.
Similarly, there are a range of the different ways of selling and marketing your consulting service - from referral-networks to cold-calling. You need to know which of these are going to help you and avoid those that will just waste your time and money.
Over the years, I have been asked many, many times about the consulting lifestyle, so I decided to write this blog. The objective is to share my experiences with you and help you to get more clients, do better deals... and have an even better lifestyle!
On the personal-side - my partner and I have 2 kids each: 2 boys, 2 girls and 2 nationalities! Although my partner and I are both english, both my girls are German. Along with having other family members in Australia, Canada and China, it all makes for some interesting international family dynamics!
We are also dog enthusiasts and I love taking my golden cocker-spaniel out running or for long, wet muddy walks...
